Martial Arts in Advertising
Sally has over 25 years’ experience as University Lecturer at various Business Schools in the UK. Her subject specialism is advertising and marketing communications.
Sally’s strengths lie in her non-traditional teaching approach that focuses on practitioner input and practice via ‘live’ projects. She was instrumental in raising the profile of flagship modules at Leeds University Business School by incorporating BBH London and TBWA\MCR sponsored briefs in Advertising. Sally won a Student Education Enhancement Award in 2017 in recognition of her contributions to innovative teaching and learning. She continues to work with organisations, such as Creative Resource, Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) and History of Advertising Trust (HAT) to foster creative talent and developments in the creative industry.
She is currently completing a PhD on the subject of martial arts representation in advertising at the School of Film Media and Design, University of West London. She has black belts in Shukokai karate and AMA taekwondo.
